On September 22, 1964, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF opened at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre, before moving to the Majestic and Broadway theatres in 1967 and 1970, respectively. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF was also Jerome Robbins’ last Broadway musical, and the first Broadway show to surpass 3000 performances.
