As a director in a community where sports and the arts are equally revered, Freddie’s article hits home! I always offer classes on Mondays in the Fall to avoid youth Football and never schedule on Friday nights. Missing the “Friday Night Lights” of High School football could be punishable by death!
Creating an opportunity for kids to participate in both sports and the arts is beneficial for students and teachers alike. If teachers and coaches “play well with one another” kids can do both – and communities will enjoy the blessing of well-rounded citizens.
