The Marquee would like to sincerely congratulate all of this year’s nominees – it’s been an incredibly exciting time for theatre (one of the busiest seasons in decades) and there have been a lot of great productions.
MTI is especially proud that two musicals in our catalogue have been nominated for Best Revival of a Musical – WEST SIDE STORY and GUYS AND DOLLS.
In addition, two of MTI’s authors have been nominated for new works this year, Jeannine Tesori (with David Lindsay-Abaire) for the score of SHREK THE MUSICAL (which received 8 nominations) and Elton John for BILLY ELLIOT (15 nominations).
We salute the nominees and the members of the MTI family whose work has been honored in this dynamic theatre season!

First of all,
First of all I must say i’m sorry because I don’t write English in a very understundable way (If I do I will be surprised).
I wish, as I always wish, that our (or more thought, yours) nominated will win the TONY award. The shows are wonderfull and we (I say we because I’m a subscriber, not because I’ve been a man of the production) should be AND MUST BE the best. No one can say that `he’ has the rights and are the wonderfull owners of the shows that we (and I repeat the breack before). I only can say:
congratulations and good moorning to all of you ( in Spain are 4:40 A.M..)
